CRESSON, Pa. - Five players scored in double figures and the Frostburg State men's basketball team cruised to the century mark in a 100-92 win over Mt. Aloysius in AMCC action, Wednesday evening.

The Bobcats (4-1, 1-1) made the game's first basket just two seconds after the opening tip and led the rest of the way. FSU shot 50.6 percent (41-of-81) from the floor and out gunned a Mt. Aloysius team that entered the game with a league leading 85.8 point per game average.

Nick Sefcik (Shady Grove, Md./Damascus) scored a team-high 19 points and handed out a game-high nine assists while junior
Brian Anderson (Perry Hall, Md./Eastern Tech) scored 11 points and added eight assists and four steals. Junior
Steven Ogg (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) and sophomore
Mac Minturn (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) each scored 17 points while junior
Jamal Bracken (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Tech) turned in 12 points and 10 boards.
FSU wasted little time opening up a 10-point lead, running out to a 14-4 edge just 3:30 into action. MTA (1-3, 0-1) narrowed the gap to three (25-22) at 10:51, but the Bobcats moved back to a 10-point lead (36-26) with 7:28 left in the half. Mt. Aloysius later used a small 10-4 run late in the period to bring the deficit to within four at the half, 46-42.
After FSU took an eight-point lead less than two minutes into the second half, the Mounties charged to within one (58-57) at 16:05. However, the Bobcats exploded for a 20-4 run that covered five minutes and a 17-point lead at 11:07. Minturn accounted for seven points and senior
Chevon Pinnock (Capitol Heights, Md./Central) hit two three-pointers to help spark the run.
The Mounties had one last surge left in them as they cut the deficit to four (91-87) with 2:42 to play, but FSU again pushed its lead to 10 points (100-90) with just 28 seconds to play.
Armond Perez scored a game-high 22 points for MTA. Harold Clark added 20 points and Tyrone Lowery posted a double-double 14 points and 11 boards.
Frostburg State returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 9 when it travels to Penn State Altoona at 8:00 pm.
