GIBSONIA, Pa. - Junior Busha Koffa (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) capped off a pair of fine performances last week for Frostburg State by earning the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference men's basketball Player of the Week award, Monday afternoon.
Koffa helped the Bobcats to a pair of big wins over AMCC opponents to extend their winning streak to three games. The victories came over Penn State Altoona (65-59) and Penn State Behrend (75-70). The Bobcats are currently 6-1 and 3-1 AMCC.
In the win over PSA, Koffa netted 14 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for his second double-double of the season, which was followed by 14 points and four rebounds against PSB. For the week, he shot 63.2 percent (12-of-19) from the field.
Koffa leads the Bobcats in rebounds (7.0 ppg).
Frostburg State returns to action on Sunday, December 21 when it hosts Christopher Newport at 2:00 pm.
