FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State volleyball team celebrated senior night and dig pink with a 3-0 shutout of Mt. Aloysius, Wednesday evening at Bobcat Arena. FSU took down the Mounties with scores of 25-19, 25-16 and 25-10.
The win keeps the Bobcats in first place in the AMCC with a perfect 7-0 record. FSU also sits at 22-4 overall with its 14th shutout of the season.
Six different Bobcats recorded a kill, led by senior
Brooke Winterling (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) with 17. She also managed six service aces, two per set, and four digs.
Junior
Sarah Stephens (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett) and senior
Caryn Wright (Baltimore, Md./Western Tech) each had seven kills and senior
Chelsea Wassell (Westernport, Md./Southern Garrett) had six.
Senior
Lacie Johnson (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) led the way with 22 assists while sophomore Kyle Carrington (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) posted 20.

Jamie Thomas (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) who each had five digs.
FSU used a five-point run to rally for an 8-5 lead in game one. Frostburg State later used spurts of 5-1 and 6-3 for the win.
In game two, the Bobcats raced out to a 10-3 lead behind three kills and two aces from Brooke Winterling. The Mounties (7-12, 3-4) scored three-straight points to narrow the deficit, but FSU put the game away with a 10-3 run late in the match.
The teams battled to a 6-6 tie in the third set but FSU again put the game out of reach with an 8-0 run for a 14-6 lead. Frostburg State closed out the match with 10-3 run for the victory.
The Bobcats are back in action on Saturday when they travel to St. Mary's (Md.) for the Seahawks Quad Match.
