FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State men's tennis team dropped a pair of hard fought matches to Penn State Behrend (7-2) and Fairmont State (5-4), Saturday.

In the loss to PSB, the Bobcats (1-13, 1-3) were led by junior Greg Shedd (Middletown, Md./Middletown) who earned a win at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. In singles, he took down Mile Boyea in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1 and in doubles he joined senior Matt Chisholm (La Plata, Md./La Plata) to defeat Boyea and Jim Palmer, 8-4.

In the second match of the day, the Fighting Falcons narrowly escaped with a 5-4 win over Frostburg State. Shedd and Chisholm picked up their sixth-straight No. 1 doubles victory. The pair got past Faben Mevs and Stevie Michael 8-4. Shedd and Chisholm are now 10-4 on the season in No. 1 doubles.

Chisholm picked up a win in No. 2 doubles defeating Michael 6-1, 6-3. Leskey and Collins also earned single victories for the Bobcats.
