LYNCHBURG, Va. - Juniors
Sumer Rohrs (Frostburg, Md./Forest) and
Arien Heggs (Arlington, Va./Wakefield) both hit ECAC Championship qualifying times to highlight the other half of the Frostburg State men's and women's track & field teams at the Lynchburg Classic on Saturday.
Rohrs led the Bobcat women's squad capturing first place in the 100-meter hurdles (14.33) qualifiying for both the NCAA Division III Championships and the ECAC Championships. Rohrs took seventh place in the 100-meter dash (13.00).

Emily Furr (Damascus, Md./Poolesville) and sophomores
Kendal Moss (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) and Melissa Ray (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett), captured fifth in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 54.22.
In the field events, Furr placed sixth in the triple jump (10.63 meters) tied for ninth in the high jump (1.47 meters) and took tenth place in the long jump (4.92 meters).
The Frostburg State men also ran well at Lynchburg.
Heggs took fifth in the 100-meter dash in an ECAC time of 11.15. He later captured 17th in the 200-meter dash (23.59).
In the 5,000-meter run, sophomore
Dustin Eagle (Mechanicsville, Md./Trinity) was sixth in 17:18.74 and in the 400-meter hurdles, junior
Steven Flanagan (Cumberland, Md./Fort Hill) was 12th (59.64).
The 4x100-meter relay team of Heggs, sophomores
Garrett Daley (Jarrettsville, Md./North Harford) and
Dan Bloch (Baltimore, Md./Dundalk) and freshman
Anthony Tossounian (Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson) finished fifth in 44.59.
In the field events, Bloch was 15th in the long jump (5.58 meters) while Russell Fye was ninth in the shot put (9.16 meters) and 12th in the hammer throw (26.11)
FSU returns to action on April 19 at the Mason-Dixon Invitational at 9:00 am in Gettysburg, Pa.
