Adam Gracia (Rockville, Md./Wootton) was selected as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Year and head coach Keith Byrnes was named the league's Coach of the Year as the pair highlighted the 2008 All-AMCC men's soccer team and award winners, Tuesday morning.
The awards were announced a day after the Bobcats (13-4-1) were awarded the No. 2 seed in the 2008 ECAC South Tournament. FSU will host an opening round game against No. 7 seed Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 6:00 pm at Bobcat Stadium.
Gracia, a four-time All-AMCC honoree, earns his second-straight first-team selection after leading the Bobcats and finishing fourth in the conference in points (28). With a win over W&J in the ECAC opening round, Byrnes will earn his 100th career victory.
