FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Frostburg State women's basketball team couldn't contain an excellent shooting performance from No. 5 ranked Mary Washington as they lost 87-40, Monday.
FSU lost its eighth-straight contest and is now 3-8 overall while UMW moved to 10-1 on the season despite its second home game all year.
The Eagles shot 54.5 percent (30-of-55) from the floor and 70.6 percent (24-of-34) from the foul line in the win. The Bobcats managed just 24.1 percent (13-of-54) from the floor.

Ashley Anthony (Silver Spring, Md./Woodrow Wilson) led FSU in scoring with 15 points followed by freshman
Mercedes White (Bowie, Md./Bowie) with eight.
Mary Washington had three players in double figures. Ashton Mitchell led th way with 15 points while Liz Hickey and Kaitie Clarkin each had 12.
FSU fell behind 40-15 at halftime and was outscored in second, 47-25.
The Bobcats are back in action on Saturday, January 12 when they travel to Pitt-Bradford at 1:00 pm.
