BUFFALO, N.Y. - Senior Alex Wilkinson (La Vale, Md./Bishop Walsh) scored the only Frostburg State goal to tie Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Medaille, 1-1, Saturday evening.

FSU (4-5-1, 0-1-1) scored in the 84th minute to tie the contest in what proved to be a hard fought game with 50 fouls and five yellow cards.

Wilkinson netted his second goal of the season, slipping a shot into the bottom left corner of the net from 20 yards out.

The Mavericks (8-2-1, 2-0-1), who entered the game having won five straight, controlled much of the contest after scoring just 1:43 into the game. Gary Boughton scored on a penalty kick as Medaille outshot the Bobcats 23-10.

Junior Gregg Laskow (Plainsboro, N.J./WWP-North) led the Bobcats with three shots.

Frostburg State returns to action on Tuesday, October 2 at Pitt-Greensburg at 4:00 pm.
