GREENSBURG, PA — Sophomore
Maria Schrum (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) netted five goals to lead the Frostburg State lacrosse team to a 17-4 victory over Seton Hill Wednesday afternoon.
The Bobcats improved to 4-5 on the season, while the Griffins fell to 1-8.
FSU dominated the game by outscoring SHU 11-2 in the first half.
Senior Stefanie Ritz (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) had four goals, while sophomore Lindsay Lamont (Sykesville, Md./Century) and freshman Meredith Martin (Fairfax, Va./WT Woodson) netted three and two goals, respectively. Senior Candi Burkhardt (Baltimore, Md./Parkville), junior Tina Trent (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) and sophomore Carly Rihard (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) scored one goal apiece.
Freshman Bobcat keeper Erin Morrell (Easton, Md./Easton) picked up 11 saves in the win, her ninth double-digit performance of the season.
FSU returns to action on Wednesday April 12, as it hosts the College of Notre Dame (Md.) for its home opener beginning at 3:30 pm.
