FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Frostburg State lost to Fairmont State 2-7, Wednesday afternoon in Fairmont, W.Va.
The Bobcats fall to 7-8 overall with the loss.
Freshman Caroline Shedd (Middletown, Md./Middletown) and junior Kimberly Hardy (Centreville, Md./Queen Anne's) earned the only wins for FSU. Shedd downed Laura Evert in No. 4 singles action 6-4, 6-2 and Hardy beat Miranda Zickefoose in No. 6 singles 6-3, 4-6, 7-6.
The Bobcats lost all three doubles matches and four singles matches.
Frostburg State returns to action October 6, when it hosts West Virginia Wesleyan at 4:00 pm.
