FROSTBURG, MD — Sophomore
Jen Naylor (Riva, Md./St. Mary’s) netted two goals to lead the Frostburg State women’s soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Lake Erie Saturday afternoon.
FSU improved to 8-5-2 overall and 7-0-1 in the league, while LEC fell to 7-7-2 overall and 3-4-1 in the conference.
Naylor opened the game with back-to-back unassisted goals in the 16th and 26th minutes to give the Bobcats a 2-0 advantage at intermission.
Sophomore Anita Wickerham (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) scored an insurance goal in the 86th minute off a feed from freshman Tricia Richardson (Gibson Island, Md./St. Mary's).
Sophomore Molly Whyte (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) played the entire game and made one save.
Frostburg State returns to action Sunday as it hosts Hilbert to wrap-up the AMCC regular season beginning at 1:00 pm.
