FROSTBURG, MD — The Frostburg State women’s tennis team fell to 0-13 on the season with a 6-3 loss to Division II West Virginia State in a non-conference match Sunday afternoon at the Harold J. Cordts Tennis Courts.
Sophomores Sharis Erwin (Upper Marlboro, Md./Oxon Hill) and Kimberly Hardy (Centreville, Md./Queen Anne's) won the third flight of doubles by forfeit picking up their first win.
In singles action, senior Megan Close (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) earned a win at No. 5 singles with a score of 6-3, 6-2 over Sarah Anderson. Hardy picked up the third win of the day at the No. 6 position after the Yellowjackets forfeited.
The Bobcats will host Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Chatham Monday at 3:00 pm.
