Huntingdon, Pa. - The Frostburg State field hockey team lost to Juniata 1-0 in overtime Tuesday afternoon.
Kim Wagner scored 11 minutes into the first overtime period to improve Juniata to 8-5 while the Bobcats fall to 7-5.
Prior to the goal, Frostburg State had its best chance of the overtime period just one minute in when senior Tawni Buck (Perryville, Md./Perryville) broke free and fired a low shot that was turned away by Eagle goalkeeper Andrea Way.
Senior goalie Kristin Cousin (Edgewater, Md./South River) made 17 saves for the Bobcats, including stopping a Wagner penalty stroke in the first half. FSU also had three defensive saves, two from senior Bissy Armstrong (Port Deposit, Md./Perryville) and one from senior Heidi Zook (Elverson, Pa./Twin Valley).
Frostburg State returns to action Saturday, October 15 when it visits two-time defending national champion Salisbury at noon.
