GIBSONIA, Pa.- Frostburg State keeper
Jay Herford (Crofton, Md./South River) earned the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Goalkeeper of the Week award for the week of Oct. 29. This is the second award for Herford this season.
He earned back-to-back road wins over La Roche this past week. In the regular-season finale last Tuesday, he allowed one goal and collected three saves in the win. In the opening round of the AMCC Tournament, FSU and LAR squared off again as Herford made a season-high 11 saves earning the shutout victory.
As a team, Frostburg State has now won four-straight games including three via shutout.
FSU is back in action this Wednesday when it travels to Medaille for the AMCC semifinals at 2:00 pm.
