Head Coach Stuart Swink has been a mainstay at the helm of the Frostburg State men’s and women’s tennis programs for the past seven seasons and enters his eighth season with the women in the fall of 2009.

Swink has led the Bobcat women to a 28-75 record during his tenure with 15 wins in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

Swink’s squad is coming off it’s best finish during his tenure in 2008 as the team finished second at the AMCC Championships and second in wins (8).

FSU shook off a slow start with a five-game winning streak heading into the AMCC Tournament. The Bobcats finished with a 5-2 AMCC mark and placed six players on the All-AMCC teams.

In his previous six seasons, Swink led FSU to 20 wins and third place finishes in the AMCC in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006. He totaled 15 players on the All-AMCC teams, including six in 2006.

Swink joined the FSU coaching staff after enjoying great success at the high school and junior college levels. He coached both the Potomac State (W.Va.) College men's and women's teams from 2000 to 2002.

He led the Catamount women to back-to-back Region XX (20) titles and consecutive bids to the NJCAA National Tournament, while his men's team won the region crown and qualified for the national tournament in 2001.

Swink served as the Director of Tennis at the Rawlings Heights Racquet Club from 1985-1995 before moving to the high school ranks in 1997 as head women's coach at Keyser. In his only season, he led the Tornadoes to conference, regional and state team championships and was named PVC Coach of the Year.

He then became head coach of the Keyser boys team in 1999 and guided the squad to the conference team title as well as a regional doubles championship. He earned his second PVC Coach of the Year honor for his efforts.

Swink is a member of the United States Tennis Association and United States Professional Tennis Registry.
