Head Coach Kyle Garase is entering his 1st season with the Bobcats ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Garase comes to Frostburg after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach at the College of Wooster. In his first year at Wooster, Garase helped coached the men's team to a third-place finish at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, marking the program's first top three finish in two decades. For his efforts, he was part of the NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year. In year two, he coached an athlete to a berth at the Division III NCAA Championships.

Prior to Wooster, he served as the head age group coach for Peters Township Club and High School from 2020-2022. From 2019-2020, Garase was an assistant coach at Wittenburg University, where he helped the team rebuild. Serving as Assistant Coach at Hope College from 2018-2019, Garase was part of a coaching staff that secured a conference championship on the women’s side and a 4th place finish on the men’s side. Additionally, he worked closely with an athlete who was runner up in the 200 Backstroke, 9th in the 100 Backstroke, and 22nd in the 50 Freestyle at the 2019 Division III NCAA Championships. In 2017, Garase took on his first collegiate coaching role with Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he was a volunteer assistant and helped manage promotional material.

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Garase graduated from Saint Vincent College in 2018 with a degree in Communications. As a student athlete at Saint Vincent, he was a part of 4 record setting relays for the Bearcats, with the 800 Freestyle Relay record still standing in 2024, and he appears on their top 10 list 11 times. Before transferring to Saint Vincent, Garase spent his freshman campaign at Lycoming College in 2012-13 where he set the school record in the 200 IM, which still stands today.
