Melanie Bell begins her first year as a graduate assistant with the Frostburg women’s soccer team this fall after a standout four-year playing career for the Bobcats.
Bell was a three-time All-Capital Athletic Conference performer, while scoring 15 goals with four assists as a ‘box-to-box’ center midfielder. A Sykesville, Md. native, Bell appeared in 77 games in her four years and was voted team captain as a senior last fall.
Bell graduated with honors from FSU with a double-major in law & society and political science, while achieving a 3.96 GPA.
During her senior campaign, she was named a Google Cloud Academic All-America as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and she was named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Team.
She recently earned the United Soccer Coaches National Diploma and is pursuing an MBA at FSU.
