Jennifer Nance enters her first season as the women’s soccer graduate assistant coach in 2017.
Nance arrives at Frostburg after concluding a highly successful playing career at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Nance started in 37 career games as the Retrievers’ goalkeeper, posting an 0.89 goals against average.
In 2015, Nance was awarded the Most Improved Player of the UMBC women’s soccer team and was also nominated as the team’s Breakout Player of the Year. She was a Second Team All-America East Conference selection in 2014.
Nance was a sports marketing associate at UMBC for two years (2014-16), where she helped aid in promotion of athletic events, playing music and assisting the sports marketing department.
She graduated from UMBC in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in management of aging studies and sociology.
Nance was the senior captain of the 2011 Severna Park high school girl’s soccer team that won the county and regional championships.
She will be pursuing a master’s degree at Frostburg State University.
