Janee’ Rhone is enters her second season with the Frostburg State women’s lacrosse team as a graduate assistant for the 2019-20 season.
In 2019, the Bobcats collected four wins and made an appearance in the CAC Tournament.
Sophomore midfielder Summer Cavey earned All-CAC Second Team honors after collecting 72 draw controls, the third-most for an individual player in a single-season in program history. As a team, the Bobcats corralled 232 draw controls, the third-most in team history.
Rhone was a four-year defensive starter on the Delaware Valley women’s lacrosse team from 2015-2018. A team captain as a senior, Rhone ended her career as DelVal’s all-time leader in ground balls (118) and caused turnovers (62). Rhone graduated in May of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Delaware Valley.
Before DelVal, Rhone captained Indian Creek Upper School to a pair of IAAM C Conference titles in 2013 and 2014.
While at DelVal, she served as a Resident Assistant and Senior Resident Assistant on campus. She completed the LeaderShape Institute program and became a member of the American Association of University Women.
Rhone will be pursuing a master’s of science degree in applied ecology and conservation biology from Frostburg State University.
