Tim Arnold

Tim Arnold enters his seventh year as an assistant coach for the Frostburg football team in 2017 and he will coach the running backs again this fall.

Last season, the Bobcat running backs finished fifth in the NJAC in rushing offense (140.5) and fourth in rushing touchdowns (13). Frostburg eclipsed 200 yards on the ground in two games and ran for 100 or more yards in nine contests.

Arnold also helped Jamaal Morant to fifth in the NJAC standings in rushing yards (816) and rushing yards per game (81.6).

Arnold has assisted the Bobcat coaching staff since the 2011 season. In 2015, Arnold helped the Bobcats to a 6-4 overall record, the program’s best finish since the 2005 season. Frostburg also posted a five-game winning streak during the middle part of the season, the longest streak for the program since the 1999 team started 6-0.

In ‘15, Arnold helped coach the Bobcat running backs, but he has also helped with the linebackers during both the 2010 and 2012 seasons and the defensive line in ’11.

As an assistant coach from 2010-12, Arnold helped call defensive plays during junior varsity games and ran the scout team offense. Last season, Arnold helped coach a Bobcat running attack that totaled 1,643 yards on 422 carries with 13 touchdowns. FSU ran for 200 or more yards in five games and finished fourth in the NJAC in rushing.

Prior to coaching the Bobcats, Arnold was a three-year player for the Frostburg football team from 2007-09.

He graduated with his bachelor’s degree from FSU in history in December 2010.
