Pete Hansen enters his second year as the defensive end coach for the Frostburg State University football program in 2015.
In 2014, the Bobcats finished fifth in the Empire 8 with 24 sacks (187 yds) and third in the league in sacks per game (2.4). Frostburg finished third in the conference in tackles for loss per game (6.6) after finishing the season with 65 tackles for loss (309 yds).
Hansen spent the 2013 campaign as the defensive line coach at Southern Virginia. The Knights posted 35 sacks and 99 tackles for loss en route to an 8-2 overall record and a No. 1 ranking in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Standings.
Prior to coaching the Knights, Hansen was a three-year starter for the Southern Virginia football team on the defensive line from 2006-08.
Hansen and his wife Sarah have two children, Halyee and Kellen.
