Assistant Football Coach - Offensive Line
Frostburg State University head football coach DeLane Fitzgerald has recently announced the hiring of Nate Sievers as the program’s offensive line coach.

Sievers is no stranger to Fitzgerald’s system as he served as the offensive line and tight ends coach for the last two years at Southern Virginia University. Sievers helped the Knights to 13 wins during his two seasons, including a program-best 8-2 overall record last fall.

“Our football program hit a homerun when Nate Sievers accepted the offensive line job at Frostburg,” said Fitzgerald. “Nate’s a great technician of offensive line play and one of the best overall O-Line coaches that I’ve worked with in 15 years of coaching college football.”

This past fall, the Knights finished the 2013 season ranked No. 1 in the final United States Collegiate Athletic Association coaches' poll. Southern Virginia averaged 323.0 yards per game in total offense, including 178.0 on the ground. The Knights rushed for 19 touchdowns.

Two years ago, Sievers served as the offensive line coach at the 2012 NCAA DII vs. NAIA Senior Bowl.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in construction from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. in 2003.
