Kenny Johnson is in his first year with Frostburg State University football program in 2014 and will coach the wide receivers as announced this summer by head coach DeLane Fitzgerald.

Johnson coached the defensive line at Randallstown High School for the last two years and also served as the sports conditioning coach. He implemented defensive schemes and organized strength workouts for the players.

Prior to coaching, Johnson was a four-year member of the Lincoln University (Pa.) football program from 2009-12. Johnson was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in each of his final two seasons after totaling 52 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. Off-the-field, Johnson served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for two years and was president of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship.

Johnson earned his bachelor’s degree from Lincoln in health science in May 2013.
