Angelo Luvara

Angelo Luvara is entering his second year with the FSU coaching staff in 2014 after coaching the quarterbacks this past fall.

Under his direction, Frostburg threw for 1,922 yards and 13 touchdowns. FSU threw for more than 250 yards in five games, including a 384-yard, four-touchdown performance against Waynesburg.

For the past 13 years, Luvara served as the head football coach at Berkeley Springs High School. During that time, he helped guide his team to three postseason playoff appearances, including the first playoff berth in school history. Prior to Berkeley Springs, he served as head football coach at Potomac State College for 21 years.

A native of Pittsburgh, he attended South Hills Catholic High School and then Potomac State College where he played offensive guard and linebacker. He graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va.

He resides in Keyser, W. Va, with his wife Lynn. Luvara’ son Gabe is the tight ends coach at NCAA Division I Albany, while his daughter Angie is currently a doctoral student at Georgia State University.
