Veronica Jacober was recently named to the Frostburg State field hockey coaching staff as announced by Bobcat head coach Carly Sweeney.
Jacober comes to Frostburg after serving as an assistant coach at Elmira College for the last two seasons. Jacober was the program’s recruiting coordinator and goalkeeper coach, while helping with the breakdown of film and developing game and practice plans. The Soaring Eagles were twice named an NFHCA National Academic team and two players garnered All-Empire 8 honors.
Prior to Elmira, Jacober was a four-year standout field hockey player for Delaware Valley College. A four-year starter, Jacober helped the Aggies to three appearances in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) playoffs, including a total of 30 wins. She earned All-MAC honors and was the DVC Team Offensive Player of the Year as a senior and was a three-time NFHCA and MAC All-Academic selection.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Delaware Valley in 2013 and her master’s in general education from Elmira in 2015.
Jacober has served as the primary coach of the U12 and U14 teams of the Field Hockey Sports Club in Hatfield, Pa. for the last two years and she has been the Co-Site Manager/Counselor for the World Camp USA (Field Hockey) at Swarthmore College since 2012.
