Nicole Andriani joined the Frostburg State field hockey coaching staff for her first season in the summer of 2020.
Andriani brought a wide range of coaching skills and experience to the Bobcats. She served as a coach for the Montclair High School Field Hockey Clinic and 7v7 Tournament during 2018-2019. She worked primarily with goalkeepers, teaching skills and styles of play.
During that same time, she also served as a supervisor on the gameday operations staff at the Montclair State University Fitness Center. She supervised athletes during workouts and helped with statistics during MSU’s men’s and women’s basketball games.
In the summer of 2019, Andriani coached goalkeepers at the Montclair State Revolution Field Hockey Camp developing skills including clearing, diving and communication during play.
Andriani also has coaching experience at Lacey High School, Southern Regional High School and Middle School’s and she was an intern with Limitless Performance & Therapy.
As a student-athlete, Andriani was a four-year member and two-year starter at goalkeeper for Montclair State’s nationally-ranked field hockey team. She helped the Red Hawks to the NCAA Tournament two times and she garnered NFHCA All-American honors as a both a junior and senior. She was a two-time All-Region honoree, named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Goalkeeper of the year as a senior and was a four-time NJAC Defensive Player of the Week. She ranked third in the nation in save percentage (.861) as a senior.
Off the field, she was a four-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction, Google Cloud Academic All-America as a senior and boasted MSU’s highest female athlete GPA as a senior as well.
Andriani graduated from Montclair State in January ’20 with her bachelors degree in exercise science, while carrying a 3.97 GPA.
