Tim Miller is in his second year as the top assistant coach for the Frostburg State baseball squad in 2018. Miller continues to work with the Bobcat pitching staff and assists in all recruiting endeavors.

In 2017, FSU pitchers posted 8.48 K/9, good for third in the Capital Athletic Conference. The FSU hurlers also allowed the second-fewest walks (149) in the CAC and finished in the top half of the conference with a team ERA. Junior pitcher Greg Schneider was named All-CAC First Team and D3baseball.com South Region Third Team. Schneider led the conference in strikeouts (103) and set the Frostburg single-season mark for strikeouts per 9 innings (12.58).

Miller arrived at Frostburg after spending a season with the Fayetteville SwampDogs of the Coastal Plain League.
 
Miller served as the pitching coach at the University of Pitt-Greensburg in 2015-16, where the team saw unprecedented levels of success. The team set a school record for wins (24) in 2015 and conference wins (13) in 2016. Miller coached all-conference pitchers Cam Smith, Adam Dodson and Brandon Rowland. Under the direction of Miller, pitchers at Pitt-Greensburg set or tied 14 different school pitching records.
 
Miller spent three years as a pitching coach at South Park High School (Pa.) from 2011-13. With a 48-17 record over a three-year span, South Park became the first school to win a district title with a 24-0 record.
 
Miller spent two years as the pitching coach at Cannon-McMillian High School (Pa.) in 2007-08. While there, the team captured its only title in school history with a victory in the PIAA 4A State Championship game in 2008.
 
Miller graduated from Washington & Jefferson in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. A native of South Park, Pa., he currently resides in Frostburg, Md.
