Tim Miller arrives at Frostburg for his first season as the top assistant coach in the fall of 2016. Miller’s primary duties will be to work with the Bobcat pitching staff and assist in all recruiting endeavors.
 
Miller comes to Frostburg after spending a season with the Fayetteville SwampDogs of the Coastal Plain League.
 
Miller served as the pitching coach at the University of Pitt-Greensburg in 2015-16, where the team saw unprecedented levels of success. The team set a school record for wins (24) in 2015 and conference wins (13) in 2016. Miller coached all-conference pitchers Cam Smith, Adam Dodson and Brandon Rowland. Under the direction of Miller, pitchers at Pitt-Greensburg set or tied 14 different school pitching records.
 
Miller spent three years as a pitching coach at South Park High School (Pa.) from 2011-13. With a 48-17 record over a three-year span, South Park became the first school to win a district title with a 24-0 record.
 
Miller spent two years as the pitching coach at Cannon-McMillian High School (Pa.) in 2007-08. While there, the team captured its only title in school history with a victory in the PIAA 4A State Championship game in 2008.
 
Miller graduated from Washington & Jefferson in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. A native of South Park, Pa., he currently resides in Frostburg, Md.
