Greg Beachy returns to Frostburg for his third season as an assistant coach in 2016. Following his final season on the mound for the Bobcats, Beachy served as an assistant coach for Robertson for the 2011 season.

Last spring, Beachy helped the Bobcats to one of the best seasons in program history behind a school and CAC record 43 wins, the CAC regular-season and tournament titles, along with the program’s first NCAA Mideast Regional Championship and World Series appearance. Beachy helped three pitchers earn All-American status as Clayton Freimuth, Bennett Schiltz and Greg Schneider emerged as one of the top pitching staff’s in the country.
In 2011, Beachy worked with the pitchers and helped the Bobcats to a 28-15 record and a Capital Athletic Conference championship. The pitching staff finished the year with a 3.24 ERA while a pair of senior pitchers, Greg Ross and Josh Davis, earned a spot on the All-CAC teams. Ross was named Player of the Year and later drafted in the 18th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Atlanta Braves.
After obtaining his undergraduate degree from FSU, Beachy served as an assistant coach at Garret College from 2011 to 2013. Following his time at Garrett, Beachy was named the pitching coach at Northern Garrett High School in 2014. Â
For the past two years, Greg has been working as a teacher at The Jefferson School at Finan in Cumberland, Md. Beachy and his wife Hannah reside in Friendsville, Md. with their daughter Kendall. Beachy is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Special Education at FSU.
