Dom Fratantuono

Dom Fratantuono joins the Frostburg State baseball coaching staff for his first season in 2015 after graduating from Towson University last May.

Fratantuono was a four year starter while at Towson University. He appeared in a total of 209 games for the Tigers and led the team with a .342 batting average during his junior season with 79 hits. Fratantuono hit 8 homeruns and drove in 53 runs while swiping 15 bases. He was honored as CAA player of the week and Northeast Player of the week twice. He was named to the CAA All-Conference and ABCA all region teams that year.

Fratantuono led the Tigers to their first ever CAA Championship and was the Tigers’ top hitter in CAA Tournament with a .600 batting average. He was named to CAA All-Tournament team after collecting hit one double, one triple and two home runs and had seven RBI in tournament including a 3-4 effort in CAA title game. Fratantuono was named player to watch in Chapel Hill Regional and was named a 2014 preseason All-CAA selection. The CAA coaches voted Fratantuono the biggest power threat, top defensive arm and top defensive outfielder in preseason. In 2014 Fratantuono became the 18th player in school history to record 200 hits in his career. Fratantuono ended his career amongst the leaders in games played, batting average, hits, walks, triples and stolen bases. He finished as.305 hitter with 214 hits, 42 doubles, 19 homeruns and 43 stolen bases.

Fratantuono graduated from Towson with a criminal justice degree and will be pursuing his MBA.
