Bernie Stratchko enters his fourth season as an assistant for the Frostburg State baseball team in 2015 and will once again work with the hitters and infielders.

In his first three seasons, Stratchko has helped Frostburg to a total of 70 wins and three appearances in the CAC Tournament. He has helped 15 players reach All-CAC honors.

Following the 2014 season, the Bobcats topped the CAC in batting average (.338), doubles (110), triples (22) and slugging percentage (.478). Stratchko led five players to CAC honors including First Team honors for junior Zach Weiss. The third baseman led the league in at bats (183) and hits (73). Frostburg saw two of its single-season records fall in 2014 as Zach Weiss set the record for at bats (183) and Kam Stewart set the mark for triples with nine.

In 2013, the Bobcats led the CAC in doubles (104), home runs (20), scoring (7.3 runs per game), slugging percentage (.457) and triples (.40). Following the regular season, junior Kevin Kean was named the CAC Player of the Year after a breakout performance in his first year as a Bobcat. Rob Jennings set the school record for sacrifice flies in a single season under Stratchko's watch wtih seven.

In his first year with Frostburg, Stratchko helped two Bobcat hitters to an All-CAC year as seniors Torian Cyrus and John Barrett garned secord team honors following the regular season.

Stratchko played shortstop and third base at the College of Southern Maryland before finishing his career at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Stratchko earned his MBA from Frostburg State University in May 2014.
