MANAHAWKIN, NJ - Sophomore defender Morgan Sparks was named an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction for the second consecutive season, becoming just the third player in program history to earn multiple honors.
The award is given to athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches. Sparks, a Health and Physical Education major, was one of FSU's top defensive leaders, playing in and starting 15 games with eight defensive saves, which was a top-10 mark in all of Division II.
