YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Frostburg State Men's Track & Field team competed at the Youngstown Mid-Major Invitational throughout Friday and Saturday, with the Bobcats racking up seven top-10 finishes over the weekend.
Frostburg had three top-three finishes over the two days, with the best finish for FSU coming from freshman Blake Stevens in the high jump, where he finished second at a mark of 1.75 meters. The 4x400 team of freshmen Cohen Arbogast and Mason Worley, sophomore Jack Hynes, and junior Justin Dowell finished with a time of 3:27.34, good enough for third place overall, while sophomore Dalton Kasekamp came in third in the shot put with a throw of 13.81 meters.
The Bobcats had two fourth place finishes coming in the heptathlon and the 500 meters, with freshman Morgon Corwine totaling 3,848 points for first place in the 1000-meter portion of the heptathlon, and Dowell rocking a 1:08.07 in the 500m.
Finishing out the weekend for FSU was the distance medley relay made up of sophomores Jaxon Jones, Isayah Stewart, and Gage Osborne, along with Arbogast, all who worked together to clock a 10:47.11 for seventh place.
