BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Senior Jamie Roberts was named MEC Softball Player of the Week for her dominate success on both sides of the ball in Frostburg's opening weekend of conference play.  This award was announced on Monday by the league office and is presented by The Health Plan. 
 
Roberts helped lead the Bobcats to a perfect 4-0 weekend record with a total of 11 hits, nine runs, two doubles, three home runs, and 11 RBI.  In game one against D&E on Saturday, Roberts went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs and three RBI while belting two homers.  Roberts tossed a complete game of seven innings giving up seven hits and four runs while striking out three for a 7-4 victory.  Roberts added two more hits in the team's close 7-6 victory over the Senators in game two, scoring two runs as well.
 
Against Wesleyan on Sunday, Roberts cranked three hits, one double and a homer, for two runs and six total RBI all in game one, while only giving up only three hits and one run from the circle, and striking out four in Frostburg's 13-1 five-inning win.  In game two of the WVWC series, Roberts saw another perfect 3-for-3 trip from the plate with one double, two runs, and two RBI in the team's 8-0 shutout win.
