PHILIPPI, W. Va. – The Frostburg State men's basketball team fell on the road to Alderson Broaddus 91-69, with the Battlers making 17 threes in the game.

AB started the game off with home court advantage and the momentum to jump out to a 10-0 lead. Senior Agyei Edwards hit a shot to get the Bobcats on the board three minutes into the game. The Battlers continued their hot play, stretching the lead out 24-6 on their fifth made three of the first half. Junior Jaylin Albury knocked down a pair from the line to get FSU to 24-9, then after another Alderson Broaddus run, Edwards would find the bottom of the net, hitting a three and making the score 34-12. Junior Jason Murphy would come on late in the half after some foul trouble, scoring twice in the final minute of the half, but the story was AB's 10 three-point shots in the half to make the score 50-23 at the break.

Murphy built on his scoring in the second half for his sixth point before graduate Juston Bailey collected a rebound on his own miss and hit a shot to make the score 58-32 a quarter through the second half. Graduate Vincent Smalls would find his scoring touch with eight points over a five-minute span, making the score 73-42 Battlers. Junior Tairell Fletcher would hit a pair of foul shots to get the game to 82-61, then hit the last made basket for the Bobcats the 3:48 mark. When the buzzer went off, AB had made 17 three-pointers and took the game by a score of 91-69.

Smalls (14), Edwards (10) and Fletcher (13) would all score in double figures for FSU, as Fletcher added a team-high three assists and swiped a pair of steals.Â

The loss drops Frostburg to 5-9 and AB moves to 4-8 on the season. FSU will play on the road again Wednesday, January 11
