CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Frostburg State Women's Tennis team suffered a narrow loss against California (Pa.) by a final score of 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon.

The match started well for the Bobcats, as they picked up the doubles match point with a pair of wins from freshman Lorena Pintar and junior Rabiatu Ladan (6-4), as well as junior Madison Toothman and senior Immanuella Odiong (6-2).

Pintar (6-1, 6-2) and Toothman (6-3, 6-4) also earned a pair of singles wins, but it would not be enough, as the Vulcans secured victories in the remaining singles matches for the 4-3 win.

With the loss, FSU falls to 4-5 in the Spring season, while Cal improves to 3-1. The Bobcats return to action on Saturday, April 9 as they return to Frostburg for a 1 p.m. match against MEC foe West Virginia Wesleyan. For information and updates, stay tuned at frostburgsports.com.
