FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg State Softball swept MEC honors, as Jayla Hill was named the offensive player of the week and Sydney Theobald earned pitcher of the week for their performances against Barton and Virginia State.
 
Against Barton, Hill hit three total home runs, including a two-run shot in game one that put FSU up 5-2 and sealed the win. In game two, she gave Frostburg their only offense with a homer to get a 1-0 lead, but the team lost 2-1 in extra innings.
 
Theobald pitched a complete game in the first game against Barton, throwing eight innings and allowing just two earned runs while striking out six batters. She also earned the win against Virginia State in game two, throwing three innings of a five-inning game, allowing just an earned run on two hits with two strikeouts.
