BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Sophomore defender Cat Smith was named the Mountain East Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, as announced by the league office. 

Smith helped the team to a pair of shutout victories over West Virginia Wesleyan (1-0) and Glenville State (3-0). The team now has eight clean sheets in ten games, having won every game so far this season. Smith also scored the opening goal against GSU, as she now sits second on the team in goals with five from her right-sided center back position.
