FAIRMONT, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Women's Swimming team picked up their second win of the season, defeating Fairmont State 140-111 on Saturday afternoon in a road meet.

The Bobcats started out the meet in great fashion, as freshman Gabriela Betancourt joined sophomores Alexis Council, Natasha Paciello, and Kendall Hooper for a win in the 200-yard medley relay (1:56.81). Betancourt went on to earn solo wins in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke with times of 1:03.04 and 2:17.55, respectively.

Hooper would be victorious in the 200-yard butterfly (2:17.34), while Paciello won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.97) in their individual performances. Junior Liz Perry had one of her top career performances, earning wins in the 200-yard free (2:07.63), 50-yard free (26.17), and 100-yard free (57.74).

The team of Council, Hooper, Perry, and sophomore Madison Kauffman ended the meet on a high note with a victory in the 400-yard free relay (3:53.06). Â Â Â

With the win, Frostburg improves to 2-2 on the year, while Fairmont falls to 0-3. The Bobcats return to the pool for their first home meet of the season against Mary Washington on Friday, November 11 at 2:30 p.m. Information and updates will be posted at frostburgsports.com.
