FROSTBURG, Md.- Cierra Chastain has been named a graduate assistant coach for the Frostburg State softball team for 2021-22.

She starts her coaching career at Frostburg State after playing for MEC opponents Fairmont State University. 

As a pitcher for Fairmont State, she posted a 2.46 ERA over 91 Innings pitched, winning eight games for the Fighting Falcons. She also drove in five RBI at the plate and was named team captain in her senior year.

She graduated in Spring 2021 with a bachelor's degree in finance with a 3.70 GPA. She was a board member for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, as well as a member of the Hidden Opponent Organization. 

Prior to Fairmont she played two years at Sinclair Community College.
