FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg State women's soccer won against West Virginia Wesleyan at home 1-0. This is the Bobcats second win in a row to start the season 2-0. This was Wesleyan's first game of the season giving them a record of 0-1.
The start of the game was back and forth with possession until Frostburg settled in around the ten-minute mark. Soon after Junior Audra Curtin missed high on a Bobcats goal scoring opportunity. Frostburg continued to apply pressure on the offensive end of the field totaling eight shots in the first half. First-year goalkeeper Ashley Bilger made her lone save of the game just short of the 30-minute mark.
The second half of the game leaned in favor of Frostburg in almost every category. Frostburg again out shot Wesleyan six to zero. The loan goal of the game came in the 71
st minute. Curtin buried the penalty attempt in the bottom left corner to give Frostburg the lead and eventually the win.
