Women’s Lacrosse Signs Nine To 2021 Roster

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's lacrosse program has announced that nine student-athletes have committed to play for the Bobcats for the upcoming 2021 season and beyond.

"This signing class includes nine student-athletes who are hungry to get on the field and contribute to the legacy that Frostburg women's lacrosse continues to develop in Division II and the Mountain East Conference," said Maddie Manzoni, who served as Frostburg's women's lacrosse coach for the 2019-20 athletic year.

"This recruiting class is one of our most versatile and well-rounded groups. They have all bought into the Division II model that Frostburg now has to offer," added Manzoni. "They are committed and dedicated to helping improve the program by bringing their competitive energy as well as their incredible work ethic."

"We are excited to have two transfers as part of this 2020 signing class as well. Their previous playing experiences will help them prepare for a smooth transition to the fast-paced game that this team plans to develop. We are also very excited to have two goalies in this signing class! This will help strengthen the entire defensive unit. Having confident, motivated, and talented players between the pipes will help take this team to the next level. We are very excited to welcome these new Bobcats into our family!"

Below is a breakdown of each signee and their projected team impact according to Manzoni.

Sarah Dudick, from Fallston, Md., was a 2019 NJCAA National Champion and NJCAA All-American. She was also Offensive Player of the National Tournament and All-Maryland JUCO Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Dudick is transferring to Frostburg with a lot of experience from Harford Community College. She knows what it takes to be a competitor and will bring her competitive edge to the Bobcat family. She will be an impact player for us this coming season!

Whitney Crosby, from Stevensville, Md. and Kent Island H.S., is a goalie who is not only motivated on the field, but also in the classroom. She is very dedicated, hardworking, and is always looking to improve her game. We are excited to see her develop over her four years at Frostburg.

McKenna Shay, from Perry Hall, Md. and Mercy H.S., is another goalie who comes to us with strong experience between the pipes. She played club for TLC and brings a wealth of knowledge with her to Frostburg. She plays very confidentiality and is resilient between the pipes.

Anna Kearney, from Catonsville, Md. and Glenelg Country School, is a low attacker that plays with a lot of finesse. Her stick skills and composed play will help her to beat defenders as well as challenge our defense in practice.

Grace Bagosy, from Fallston, Md. and Fallston H.S. is a very versatile player and will be a threat anywhere on the field. She has experience playing both midfield and defense for her club team, Looney's. She is able to use her speed to her advantage in the midfield and we are excited to see how much her confidence grows in her first year as a Bobcat!

Erin Bryce, Hagerstown, Md. and Smithsburg H.S., is a true midfielder and is able to outrun her opponents in the midfield. She uses her speed to her advantage on the attacking end in order to get the ball in the net. We are looking to Erin to add depth to our team in the midfield this coming season.

Taylor Culver, from Baltimore, Md. and Sparrows Point H.S., is a very smart low attacker who also played club for Looney's. She is a very smart player and will be able to pick up on things quickly in order to help elevate the attack. She will fit in with the current attack seamlessly and will learn a lot from the upperclassmen on that end of the field.

Willow Walters, from Jefferson, Md. and Brunswick H.S., will be joining her sister, a rising senior, Wynnanne Walters, this coming season on the attacking end of the field. Willow is a team player and is able to see the field very well. We can't wait for her to continue her lacrosse career as a Bobcat.

Paige Kolb, from Frederick, Md. and Howard County C.C., is a strong midfielder that is again, another versatile player. She is very speedy and is itching to get back on the field. She will bring a ton of energy to this Bobcat family and we can't wait to see how much she contributes to the team.
