BETHANY, W.Va. – The Frostburg State men's cross country team placed 11
th in their its meet as a Division II squad at the Bethany Bison Invitational, Saturday morning.
The Bobcats come off a 2018 campaign that saw them capture two first place finishes during their final season at the Division III level.
Braxton Clark, who notched three top-10 finishes in 2018 for the Bobcats, was the top finisher for Frostburg State. The junior was able to complete the course in a time of 27:44, good enough for 19
th place.
Senior Jacob Richards was the second Bobcat to cross the finish line, clocking in at 29:15 (59
th). First-year Daniel Foster had a strong showing in his first collegiate meet, finishing in 66
th with a time of 29:23.
Junior Devin Horseman-Guy finished with a time of 30:46 (105
th), while seniors Lorenzo Wilson (31:18) and Timothy Wolodkin (32:02) finished in 117
th and 128
th place, respectively. Sophomore Brennen Tomassoni came across the line with a time of 32:09 (101
st).
On the woman's side, sophomore Natalie Gray was the top finisher for the Bobcats with a time of 28:50 (129
th) and a pace just north of seven minutes.
First-year Ariyana Ward completed her first meet at Frostburg with a time of 30:04 (149
th). Senior Sidonie Brown ended the first meet of the season just behind Ward with a 30:14 time (153
rd). First-year Isabel Pereira clocked in at 32:14 (172
nd).
The Bobcats continue their season on Friday, September 7 at the Blazer Twilight hosted by Hood College in Frederick, Md.
