MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon the Frostburg State men's tennis team traveled to face conference opponent, Penn State Harrisburg (PSH) with the match ending in a close 5-4 victory but in favor of PSH.
The Bobcats fall to 4-7 overall and 0-6 in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play, while the Lions advance to 7-10 overall and 1-5 in CAC action.
The Bobcats kept it close as the Lions only won a single match more to claim the victory for the day.
Doubles play concluded with one win for the Bobcats from senior Derek Thompson and Goldring with a final score of 8-2 in No. 2 doubles.
Singles play included a 6-2, 6-2 win atNo. 1 singles by senior Shasta Braithwaite, a 6-1, 6-1 win from sophomore Geoffrey Goldring, and a 7-5, 6-2 win from junior Toheeb Aroworowon.
The Bobcats are back in action April 20 against CAC opponent, York (Pa.) with noon start at Cordts Tennis Complex.
