SALISBURY, Md. – Senior Molly Hart put two in the back of the net for Frostburg State, but No. 13 Salisbury posted eight and seven-goal runs to down FSU, 19-5, on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Emani Byrd, sophomore Morgan Cavey and freshman Nikki Hallikas each scored in the first half, but after Byrd scored the first goal of game, her 17th on the year, the Sea Gulls (11-3, 7-0) went on an 8-0 run and had the Bobcats (6-8, 3-3) facing a seven goal deficit with 10 minutes left in the first half.

Gabbi Nieves scored three times during the outburst for SU before Cavey ended the run with her team leading 40th goal of the season, when she scored on a pass from Hallikas at 6:24.

Hallikas scored her 37th of the year less than a minute later to trim the Sea Gull lead to 8-3.

Salisbury closed out the first half with two goals that started a 7-0 run and carried to 22:50 in the second. The seven unanswered tallies pushed the Sea Gull lead to 15-3.

Hart scored her first with 20:55 left then notched her second at 7:35, giving her 19 on the season, to help the Bobcats try to claw back.

Following Hart's second goal at 7:35, Abigail Single scored back-to-back goals inside the final two minutes for the 19-5 final.

Hart and Hallikas each had two points on the afternoon to lead FSU. Senior goalkeeper Dylan Teitelbaum made a career-high 19 saves for the Bobcats over 60 minutes of action, including 11 in the first half.  FSU also bested Salisbury in draw controls, 13-12, with Byrd winning a team-high seven.

Frostburg returns home on Wednesday, April 12 when they host Mary Washington at 4:00 pm.
