YORK, Pa. – Frostburg led for much of the first two and a half quarters of action at York (Pa.) Wednesday night, but the Spartans rallied past the Bobcats midway through the third for a 56-51 win.

The Bobcats slip to 5-4 overall on the season and 1-2 in the league. Meanwhile, the Spartans are now 6-1 overall and remain undefeated in the CAC at 3-0.

Both teams finished with two players in double figures.

Victoria Diggs knocked down four three-pointers en route to a team-high 18 points. Sophomore Sydney Stotler scored 11 and grabbed eight rebounds. Junior Megan Kelly added nine points.

The lead changed hands three times in the first half and Frostburg led by as many as six in the first quarter when sophomore Victoria Yoder hit two free throws with 3:09 to play.

FSU held that edge into the second quarter and pushed it back to six when Diggs hit a three-pointer less than two minutes into the frame.

Later in the second quarter, Kelly and Yoder hit free throws to keep Frostburg's lead at six and the visitors led 27-24 at the break.

A minute later, Stotler pushed the lead to 46-43 with another layup and she knotted things at 48 with a layup with 4:16 to play.

From that point on, York slowly pulled away for the win. Sophomore Amanda Emory hit a three-pointer with 2:35 to play that pulled Frostburg to within two, but the Spartans pushed their lead to eight points, 59-51, inside the final minute before winning by five.
