FROSTBURG, Md.- The Frostburg State women's soccer team was selected as the #4 seed in region 3 of the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) DIII Women's Soccer Championship, Monday afternoon.

The ECAC announced in August a new format for its championship tournaments and the field will now be broken out into four regions for first-round play beginning this Saturday, Nov. 12. The new format sees the 15 teams who qualified for the tournament split into four regions with the winner of each region moving on to the semifinals the following weekend, to be played on the campus of the highest remaining seed.
 
The Bobcats finished the season with a 10-9-1 overall record and will travel to host and second-seeded Stevenson University to take on #1 seed Grove City College in the opening round of the tournament on Saturday, November 12^th at 11:00 a.m.
 
Grove City finished their campaign with a record of 15-5-0. The winner will then faceoff with the winner of #2 seed Stevenson and #3 seed Chatham on Sunday afternoon.
