YORK, Pa. – Frostburg State freshman swimmer Macey Nitchie has been selected as the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week.

In the last two meets against Elizabethtown and Mary Washington and Marymount, Nitchie posted five individual wins and broke her own school record in the 200-yard freestyle.

Nitchie kicked off her winning streak against Elizabethtown, where she took home first in the 200-meter freestyle (2:14.02), 50-meter freestyle (28.38), and 100-meter freestyle (1:01.80) and helped the 200-meter freestyle relay to a victory against Elizabethtown on January 30.

The next day against Mary Washington and Marymount, Nitchie won both the 100-yard freestyle (55.48) and broke her school record in the 200-yard freestyle (1:58.85).

Nitchie and the rest of the Bobcat swimming teams return to the pool on February 20-22 for the CAC Championships at St. Mary's (Md.).
