FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg State suffered a pair of losses Sunday to No. 1 ranked Salisbury at Bobcat Field. The Sea Gulls captured game one, 11-3, and game two, 10-1.

Game 1Game 2 Trailing 5-0 heading in the fifth inning of game one, junior Savannah Hose smacked a three-run home run to left field that scored sophomores Allison Williams and Taylor Blevins and pulled the Bobcats (14-9, 6-4) to within 5-3. It was Hose's first home run of the season and just the second home run allowed by Salisbury starter Rachel Johnson.
The Sea Gulls (31-1, 11-1) tacked on three more runs in both the sixth and seventh innings for the 11-3 final.
Hose finished 1-for-3 with three RBI, while Williams was 2-for-2 with a run scored. Freshman Hannah Tavik endured the loss after surrendering 11 runs in 7.0 innings.
In the second game, Salisbury broke a 1-1 tie with a four-run third inning and five more runs in the fifth.
SU's Kim Dorsey hit a solo home run in the top of the first inning for the early 1-0 advantage. Bobcat senior Caitlin Loved answered with a solo bomb of her own in the bottom of the frame for Frostburg's only run.
Sophomore Nicole Bradford took the loss in the circle after allowing nine unearned runs in 5.0 innings.
Frostburg returns to action tomorrow when it hosts Penn State Harrisburg at 1:00 pm.
