FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Frostburg State women's cross country team had a solid showing at the Capital Athletic Conference Championship meet as the Bobcats took home fifth out of 10 teams with 153 points, Saturday morning.
Full meet resultsChristopher Newport took home the CAC crown with 33 team points while Mary Washington took second and York (Pa.) took third. Salisbury finished just ahead of Frostburg with 147 points.
Sophomore Casey Columbus paced the Bobcats with a 28
th place finish with a time of 24:00.1 while junior Gabbi Maher was not far behind with a 33
rd place time of 24:09.7.
Freshman Faith Thackston (24:11.2 – 35
th) and senior Bryn Allston (24:19.5 – 38
th) finished third and fourth for the Bobcats while freshman Alexis DeVault rounded out the top-five Bobcats with a 52
nd place time of 25:24.5.
Sophomore Lexi Foreman took home 64
th for Frostburg with a time of 26:32.2 and freshman Danielle McClammy rounded out the Bobcat runners with a time of 31:54.3 for an 84
th place time.
Frostburg State returns to action in two weeks when the Bobcats travel to the NCAA Mideast Regional on November 15 in Newville, Pa.
